Come enjoy the Good Life! Sun City Lincoln Hills has two champion golf courses. The original 18 Hole golf course, designed by Billy Casper/Greg Nash was completed in 1999. In 2004 another 9 holes appeared and in 2005 yet another nine holes. Solely designed by Greg Nash who created and turned Lincoln Hills Golf Club into two 18 hole golf courses. The courses wind their way around cascading waterfalls and beautiful views of the foothills. There are no member fees or initiation fees, if your home is in Sun City, you’re a member. You know what they say, “A Good day of Golf will add a day of Life”.

Sun City can also be called Fun City. Nearby are several golf courses public and private, Lake Tahoe & Reno for entertainment, gambling, skiing (water and snow). Not to mention we’re only a few hours from the Pacific Ocean, Santa Cruz or San Francisco. WOW what else would you like? Okay, lets see, Yosemite is close, some of the best hiking trails in the Western United States, some of the coolest caves to explore and accessible for seniors.

Jackson Gold Country, HWY 16 to Jackson has great scenery, Sutter Creek, Amador City, Dry Creek has several little gift and antique shops on the way. Definitely worth stopping for and getting a bite to eat if desired. After arriving in Jackson, their casino is just about 7 miles north of town. It seems to appear out of no where, quite a nice place to gamble rest and enjoy the uniqueness of this casino nestled away in the foothills.

If you love to shop, you must check out the Roseville Galleria it’s only 15 minutes from Sun City. The Galleria has over 100 specialty stores and services including Macy’s, Nordstrom’s & JC Penney’s just to name a few. Check out all the different restaurants you can choose from. This is a huge and beautiful mall.

Feeling a little under the weather? Sun City is about 15 minutes away from Roseville Sutter Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente. 24 hour emergency, for what ever your needs.

For your wellness, Sun City offers two lodges. The Orchard Creek lodge is approximately 68,000 square feet of recreational pleasure for social and fitness activities. Enjoy the indoor pool with an upper walking track. If you’re the outdoors type check out the two pools outside. The Orchard Creek Lodge also features: Art, Billiards Room, Sewing, Exercise, Ceramics and much more. Enjoy the beautiful Grand Ballroom, with the latest sound system and lighting for the stage. You will also find the Meridian Restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Don’t want to miss a game; the Meridians can also serve you in the Sports Bar.

The Kilaga Springs Lodge is approximately 40,000 square feet and is actually two buildings connected by a walkway. In the Social Building you will find a cozy family room to sit around and chat and the library room where you can get on the internet or just relax and read a book. Like the Orchard Creek lodge, this one also has a Ceramics and crafts studio and a billiards room. Kilaga’s fitness building includes an Aerobic room, an indoor fitness pool and a heated spa. You will also find cardio and strengthening training equipment. I saved the best for last. There is a Wellness Day Spa that has five therapy rooms for the following:

• Physical Therapy
• Massages
• Beauty Treatments:
  • Facials, Manicures & Pedicures

For you single people, Lincoln Hills has a very active singles club that meets weekly and participates in special events throughout the year. Great activity.

Like being outdoors and camping? Sun City Lincoln Hills also has an RV Club. This club holds monthly camp outs and goes all around the United States. Sun City also has a stocked “catch and release” fishing pond for the fisherman in your family.

Sun City Lincoln Hills Sports Plaza has a wonderful softball field with stadium seating and electronic score board. I can’t keep up with how many teams Lincoln Hills has now. Softball is very popular here with the seniors. The Sports Plaza also has the following:

• Eleven Tennis Courts
• Twelve Bocce Courts
• Half Basketball Courts
• Grandchildren’s Play Lot

Located in the outdoor complex you will also find horseshoe pits and volleyball.

If you’re into traveling and worried about leaving your home, let me put you at ease. They have a great neighborhood watch. It’s like one big happy family and all the residents always watch over each other.

You couldn’t ask for better weather. We do have a four season climate but out of the 365 days you might not have sun shine 80 days out of the 365 days.
